High School Cheer:
High school cheer teams usually go to a UCA hosted or NCA hosted camp during the summer before their season starts. This camp usually costs around $400-$500 per cheerleader for housing, food, and the camp itself. It is usually a four day camp where the teams are taught multiple cheers, chants, and a variety of dances. At the end of the camp, the teams compete what they’ve learned for trophies and awards.
There are also a lot of teams who register to compete at the state championships. For travel, overnight, and competing, the cost per cheerleader is around $100-$200. Cheer teams compete in divisions based on the size of their school and also in different categories.
